The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced that it will expand its bulk waste collection service from once a week to a daily schedule starting February 1, 2026.
The service will cover households, offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, and temples, aiming to improve waste management and keep the city cleaner. Authorities said the move is part of ongoing efforts to enhance sanitation and public hygiene across the metropolitan area.
