VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan has withdrawn his decision to contest in the Assembly elections from Kattumannarkoil constituency, despite earlier announcing his candidature.
Stating that “retreating in war is also a strategy,” he said the move was to counter allegations and misinformation.
Following this, Jyothimani, the younger son of former leader Ilayaperumal, has been fielded as the party’s candidate from Kattumannarkoil.
