Tiruchy, Apr 7:
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) coordinator Ku Pa Krishnan on Monday expressed confidence that party president Vijay would receive overwhelming public support in the upcoming elections.
Speaking in Tiruchy, Krishnan said that even if Vijay campaigns online, people would still rally behind him as they are “fed up” with the DMK government and are looking for an alternative. He added that TVK is emerging as the only viable alternative in the state’s political landscape.
Krishnan also revealed that Vijay is expected to visit Tiruchy again and campaign in the Tiruchy East constituency, which is seen as a key battleground.
Highlighting the actor-turned-politician’s popularity, he said people have strong affection for Vijay and are ready to vote for him regardless of the mode of campaigning.
Meanwhile, Krishnan raised concerns over an Income Tax search conducted at his relative’s residence, alleging that officials failed to issue the mandatory prior notice before carrying out the search.
