Chennai, May 16:
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is set to host a major Artificial Intelligence and Data Science research exhibition on May 18 at its campus, showcasing more than 100 advanced research projects developed by students and researchers.
The event is being organised by the Wadhwani School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and will feature innovations across a wide range of domains, including Generative AI, General AI, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, Computational Biology, and Responsible AI.
According to IIT Madras, the exhibition aims to create a collaborative platform for students, faculty, researchers, industry experts, and innovators to interact and discuss emerging trends in artificial intelligence and data science. The event is expected to highlight how academic research is being translated into real-world applications.
Officials said visitors will get direct exposure to next-generation AI technologies being developed at the institute. The showcase is likely to attract participants from educational institutions, the technology industry, and the broader research community.
The Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI was established at IIT Madras in 2024 to bring together leading experts in data science and artificial intelligence, with a focus on developing socially impactful and industry-relevant solutions.
The institute added that the initiative reflects its broader vision of promoting interdisciplinary research and building innovative AI-driven technologies to address key societal challenges.
