Guindy government ITI introduces new courses

Chennai, May 29;

The Government Industrial Training Institute Guindy has invited applications for admission to five newly introduced technical courses at its campus, with the deadline set for June 3, 2026.

According to the official announcement, the institute has launched these courses across Engineering, Non-Engineering, and Industry 4.0 sectors, aiming to enhance skill development and improve employment opportunities for students. Candidates who have completed Class 8 or Class 10 are eligible to apply. The maximum age limit for male applicants is 40 years, while no upper age limit has been prescribed for female candidates.

Selected students will receive free education without any tuition fees. Additionally, they will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs.750, along with financial assistance under government schemes such as Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme and Pudhumai Penn Scheme, which offer Rs.1,000 per month.

The institute will also extend several benefits including free uniforms, textbooks, bicycles, and footwear. During the training period, students will gain hands-on industrial experience through practical exposure in factories and industries, preparing them for job-ready skills in emerging sectors.
