Chennai, May 29:
The Southern Railway has announced a special train service between Ernakulam and Chennai Egmore railway station to manage the rising passenger demand during the summer travel season.
As per the official release, Train No. 06056 will depart from Ernakulam at 11:10 PM on May 31, 2026, and is scheduled to arrive at Chennai Egmore at 12:00 PM on June 1. In the return direction, Train No. 06055 will leave Chennai Egmore at 2:30 PM on June 1 and reach Ernakulam at 4:30 AM on June 2.
The special train will feature a range of coaches including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class, general second-class, and luggage-cum-brake vans, ensuring comfortable travel options for passengers. The service is expected to provide significant relief to travellers during the peak holiday rush.
