Chennai, June 10:

With rising health awareness, many residents in Chennai are increasingly turning to natural and sustainable methods for weight loss, moving away from extreme diets and quick-fix solutions.

Health experts in the city emphasise that simple lifestyle changes—such as consuming protein-rich foods, choosing minimally processed meals, and reducing sugar intake—can significantly aid in maintaining a healthy weight. Drinking adequate water, eating more fruits and vegetables, and practising mindful eating are also being encouraged.

Fitness trainers note that regular physical activity, including walking along the Marina, cycling, and engaging in strength training, plays a crucial role in weight management. Combining exercise with balanced nutrition is widely seen as the most effective approach.

Doctors also highlight the importance of adequate sleep and stress management, especially in fast-paced urban environments like Chennai, where irregular routines often impact overall health.

Experts reiterate that long-term success lies in consistency and healthy habits rather than restrictive diets, urging residents to adopt gradual and sustainable lifestyle changes for better well-being.
