The much-anticipated romantic entertainer Hi, starring Nayanthara and Kavin, is all set to hit theatres on August 14. The film marks the directorial debut of lyricist Vishnu Edavan, known for penning popular tracks like Polakatum Para Para from Master (2021) and Badass from Leo (2023).
While the makers have yet to officially reveal the film’s full storyline, early promotional material, including posters and a teaser released alongside the date announcement, hint at a charming romance between neighbours who gradually develop feelings for each other.
Hi is notable for bringing Nayanthara and Kavin together on screen for the first time. The film also features an ensemble cast including the late Bhagyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Amrutha Srinivasan, Adithya Kathir, Kureshi, FEFSI Vijayan, Kaavya Arivumani, and Mirchi Kemy.
The film’s technical crew includes music composer Jen Martin, cinematographer Rajesh Shukla, editor Philomin Raj, and art director Sekar B.
Production is jointly handled by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under their Rowdy Pictures banner, alongside SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, with Zee Studios also backing the project.
