Chennai, Aug 26:
The Tamil Nadu government has intensified efforts to safely rescue 57 Tamils, including 36 women, who have been stranded in Nepal’s Rasuwa region following severe flooding.
According to Minister Vinoth, the State government is in continuous coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and officials at the Indian Embassy in Nepal to ensure the early and safe evacuation of those stranded.
All possible rescue measures, including the deployment of helicopters, are being explored and coordinated by officials to bring the affected Tamils to safety.
“The Tamil Nadu government will continue to work in close coordination with the Central government, the Indian Embassy and other concerned authorities until every stranded person is safely rescued,” the minister said.
He added that the State government is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to ensuring the safe return of all those affected by the floods.
