Actor Arulnithi and actor-director Ameer are set to join hands for a new Tamil film, with the makers announcing that the film’s title and first look will be unveiled on August 28.
The upcoming project is written and directed by M Selvakumar, who previously helmed the 2023 film Bumper. The announcement of the collaboration was accompanied by the confirmation that more details about the project will be revealed with the title and first-look launch.
The film is being produced by Samuel Mathew under the banner of 7 Miles Per Second Productions. It marks the production house’s second venture after the Siddharth-starrer Miss You, which was released in 2024.
The technical crew includes Ghibran as the music composer, RD Rajasekar as cinematographer and Ruben as editor.
Arulnithi was last seen in Arulvaan, which hit theatres in July 2026. He also has Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Demonte Colony 3 in his upcoming line-up. The horror franchise’s third instalment is scheduled to release on September 10.
Meanwhile, Ameer’s most recent release was the 2025 sports drama Bison Kaalamaadan, written and directed by Mari Selvaraj.
The combination of Arulnithi and Ameer, along with Selvakumar at the helm, has generated interest among Tamil cinema audiences ahead of the title and first-look reveal.
