Ayodhya, Sept 3:
Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first chief executive officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, as the organisation undertakes a major administrative restructuring amid scrutiny over alleged irregularities in temple donations.
The decision was taken at the Trust’s meeting on Wednesday. Mahesh Bhagchandka has been appointed treasurer, while three new trustees — Bhagchandka, Madan Mohan Pandey and Dr Nirmala Yadav — have joined the board. Swami Govinddev Giri will no longer serve as general secretary.
Mishra, who served in the Indian Air Force for more than 38 years, was commissioned as a fighter pilot in 1986. A Fighter Combat Leader and experimental test pilot, he has logged more than 3,000 hours of flying and held several senior operational and command positions.
He headed the Western Air Command from January 2025 and was involved in Operation Sindoor. He has been decorated with several military honours.
