Sattur:
Police have registered a case against four people, including the brother of VCK leader and Tamil Nadu minister Vanni Arasu, following a blast at a firecracker unit near Sattur in Virudhunagar district that killed a 33-year-old worker.
The deceased was identified as Madasamy of Meenampatti. The explosion occurred while chemicals were reportedly being mixed at the unit.
Police have booked the factory owners and manager over alleged safety violations and negligence. One of the accused has been arrested, while efforts are on to trace the others.
The investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to the blast.
