Chennai, Sept 19:
Renault India has resumed vehicle exports to Sri Lanka, with the first shipment of 100 Made-in-India vehicles dispatched from Chennai. The consignment comprises the all-new Triber, Kwid and Kiger, taking Renault’s international export footprint to 16 countries.
Renault is re-entering the Sri Lankan market in partnership with AMW Motors, one of the country’s leading automotive distributors. The vehicles are manufactured at Renault India’s facility in Oragadam, Chennai, which caters to both domestic and international markets.
The company also plans to introduce the New Duster in Sri Lanka as part of efforts to expand its product range and rebuild its presence in the market. Renault India said it has exported nearly two lakh vehicles from India so far, with South Africa and Saudi Arabia among its overseas destinations.
