Kyiv, Sept 28:
Fresh Russian attacks have killed at least eight people in Ukraine, according to reports, as the conflict continues with no comprehensive ceasefire in sight.
Ukrainian authorities reported attacks affecting several locations, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of continuing its campaign against Ukrainian cities.
The latest attacks come as Ukraine seeks stronger international support for its air defences and additional sanctions against Russia. Zelenskyy has warned that continued attacks on energy infrastructure could create serious difficulties as winter approaches.
At the UN General Assembly, Zelenskyy said Ukraine was prepared to respond if Russia continued the attacks and called for pressure on Moscow. Diplomatic efforts have continued alongside the fighting, but the two sides remain far apart on the conditions for ending the war.
