Stockholm, Oct 3:
Swedish Social Democratic leader and former prime minister Magdalena Andersson has been given another opportunity to explore the formation of a new government.
Parliament Speaker Andreas Norlén on Friday tasked Andersson with examining whether she can secure sufficient parliamentary support to form an administration. She is expected to report back on the outcome of her discussions with other parties.
The move follows Sweden’s recent parliamentary election, after which negotiations among political parties have continued over the composition of the next government.
