New Delhi, Oct 15:
Left-arm pacer T Natarajan will return to Sunrisers Hyderabad after the franchise completed a player trade with Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League season. Leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari will move to Delhi as part of the deal.
Sunrisers have secured Natarajan’s services for Rs 5 crore. Delhi had bought the Tamil Nadu pacer for Rs 10.75 crore at the 2025 IPL auction. Ansari will join Delhi at his existing fee of Rs 40 lakh.
Natarajan previously represented Sunrisers from 2020 to 2024 and enjoyed his most productive IPL season in 2024, taking 19 wickets as the team reached the final. He played 12 matches for Delhi over the last two seasons, claiming five wickets.
The trade gives Sunrisers an opportunity to bring back a familiar left-arm pace option, while Delhi add a young leg-spinner to their bowling resources. The move is part of the franchises’ preparations ahead of the next IPL season.
