Who said Kodambakkam is the capital of Tamil cinema? The makers of the movie ‘Seema Raja’ starring Sivakarthkeyan chose to go all the way to Madurai to launch the teaser and trailer of the movie on Friday.
A huge set resembling a grand ‘thiruvizha’ was erected at Madurai where the cast and crew of the movie including Sivakarthikeyan, director Ponram and music composer D Imman were present. There was dance, music and hilarious speeches by celebrities and the audio launch ended up as talk of the town.
On choosing Madurai, producer R D Raja, said,”Madurai is the heart beat of the Tamil film industry. The amount of love and craze the films command among the fans here is un believable. We were determined even before we could start the film that the audio launch has to happen only in Madurai.”
“The core content of the film is hugely based on rural back ground of the southern part of our State, it weighed upon our mind and was a very conscious and consensual decision to conduct the event in Madurai.”
Sivakarthikeyan shook his legs for a song on stage. And no sooner, he released the teaser of the movie, it went viral on stage.
On his part, he said,”It has been a wonderful journey working in ‘Seema Raja’ and everything has come good.”
The movie stars Samantha, Soori, Simran, Nepolean among others. Plans are on to release the movie this September.
