Chennai: Haj Association of India chairman Aboobucker wished ailing DMK president M Karunanidhi speedy recovery.
In a press release, Aboobucker recalled that “Karunanidhi has so far sent 6,000 Haj pilgrims to Mecca and I pray to God that he gets well soon. He also brought 3.5 per cent reservation for Muslims.”
Karunanidhi (94) is being treated at Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet, for the past 10 days after his blood pressure dropped while he was given treatment at his Gopalapuram residence for urinary tract infection and fever.
