Chennai: On the occasion of the National launch of India Post Payments Bank on 1 September, a rally was held in areas like West Mambalam, Ashok Nagar, by Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Chennai City South Division on 28 August.
A press release said, the rally was organised to create awareness among the residents of the area and staff members of post offices at Ashok Nagar and West Mambalam took part in the event.
The new facility will offer banking services including recharging of mobile, DTH, payment of electricity, gas bill at door steps at the convenience of residents, the release added.
