Chennai: A short film ‘Never Give Up‘ showcasing the struggles and achievements of Sriram Srinivas, a person with cerebral palsy and mental retardation was screened by Sai Sriram Trust for specially-abled children here recently.

Twenty five-year-old Sriram received ‘Achiever Award’ during the recently concluded ‘Ocean Sea Expedition – SamudhraPheri 2018’ conducted by the NCC units of Cuddalore and Pondicherry for swimming 5 km at sea.

Sriram braved the dangerous jelly fishes and other marines, shore breaks and RIP currents to achieve this feat, a press release said.

From a boy who cannot stand on his own to a man who swam 5 kms at sea with this disability, Sriram’s life journey is an inspirational journey which everyone can look upon.

Science City Vice Chairman U Sagayam, NCC Directorate (TN, AN & P) Deputy Director General Commodore Vijesh J Garg among others during the screening of short film ‘Never Give Up’ organised by Sai Sriram Trust for specially-abled children in Chennai recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Science City Vice Chairman U Sagayam said ‘Never Give Up‘ short film is indeed a huge motivation to all the specially-abled children who would want to live a normal life just like the other human beings.
Sagayam also praised Sriram’s self confidence and his parents for their massive support given to him.

NCC Directorate (TN, AN & P) Deputy Director General Commodore Vijesh J Garg said the event is a motivation to others. “Today Sriram stands as a proud figure for his family and friends,” he said.
