Hyderabad: A 43-year-old woman from Mahabubabad district passed away at the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad due to swine flu on Tuesday.

According to official reports, the woman was initially being treated at a private hospital, but as her condition worsened, she was shifted to the sate-run hospital. Sadly, she passed away within twenty minutes of admission at the hospital, said the official.

The officials said this was the first death due to swine flu at the hospital this year and that six other people, who were tested positive for the flu, were under treatment at the hospital. The Gandhi Hospital has a special ward for treating swine flu, added officials.
