Mangaluru: “The coalition government in the state is here to stay and will complete the full five-year term and not a single Congress MLA will quit the party,” said K C Venugopal, AICC general secretary, on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, Venugopal said certain remarks by some Congress leaders had created misunderstandings between the Congress and JD(S), and that coalition party will sort it out soon.
He also said that clarification from some Congress leaders were sought about making comments against the ruling alliance government. Also they were warned not to do so in the future. Venugopal also expressed confidence that no legislator will leave the party.
Karnataka Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao speaking at another press meet alleged the BJP had been offering huge sums of money to MLAs from the ruling parties.
Talking about the Mandya Lok Sabha seat, Rao said both the parties will demand seats in their pockets of influence and a decision would be taken after mutual discussions, he said.
