Chennai: The body of a young woman was found at the portico of Koyambedu Flower Market at 11.30 pm last night.
Police said the woman aged around 25, was found with her neck slit. Some of the labourers of the market found the body and informed the police.
Deputy Commissioner John Sundar arrived at the spot and sent the body to Government Kilpauk Hospital. Police questioned workers in the area, preliminary investigations revealed that the woman was at Koyambedu flyover outside an eatery. She was found arguing with a man. A special team was formed to investigate the case. They are going through the CCTV footage.
