Palakkad: Addressing party workers in Kerala, BJP chief Amit Shah flayed the LDF government of cheating Ayyappa devotees and denying them justice. He further said this issue would unsettle the foundation of the communist party in Kerala. He asked the BJP and other Hindu outfits to fight shoulder to shoulder to oust the atheist government.
“The atheist communists have tried to deny justice to the believers,” he alleged. Pointing at the number of arrests and case registered against devotees for the Sabarimala protests, he said, “The LDF government has been cheating crores of Sabarimala devotees in the country. I would like to remind you that this will result in unsettling the foundation of the communist party.”
The government tried to destroy the temple rituals, he said and warned Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that unless the persecution of Ayyappa devotees is stopped, CPI(M) would face the same fate as that of West Bengal and Tripura
He further charged that the LDF government had been stating that it was abiding the Supreme Court verdict. But it has not taken action against mosques using loudspeakers despite the apex court giving an order against this.
