Chennai: Tamilnadu government bestowed the Best Bank Award to the Indian Bank yesterday. The award was handed over to the bank’s executive director M K Bhattacharya by Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami in a function held in Salem yesterday.
The award was based on the criteria that the bank met the needs of women’s self-help groups (SHGs).
According to media reports, Salem district collector Rohini Bhajibhakare and senior officials of the bank were present on the occasion.
