Chennai: The Supreme Court today passed its order for mediation to settle the 70-year-old Ayodhya dispute and appointed retired judge Justice Kalifullah to lead a three-member committee.
The other members of the committee are new age guru and founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravishankar, and senior advocate Sriram Panchu.
The committee will be supervised by the Supreme Court which has asked the proceedings of the panel to be kept a secret.
The Kalifullah committee has been asked to submit the report in eight weeks’ time.
