Hyderabad: Days after the exam goof up in Telangana, the Board of Intermediate Education in Telangana (BIE) yesterday has extended the date for paying fees for supplementary exam from 27 to 29 April. Those students who have passed can apply for re-verification of answer sheets by 27 April.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister K Chadrasekhar Rao has ordered officials not to charge any fee for re-verfication and re-counting from failed students and a number of measures were announced by the government to provide relief to students. A committee of technical experts has been appointed to look into the whole issue.

Even as students and their parents along with several political parties and students’ organisations protested over the alleged goof up of declaration of exam results, the Congress, TDP, BJP and other parties met Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday and sought a judicial probe into the issue.

Congress-led delegation had claimed that 20 students allegedly committed suicide after the declaration of results.
