Chennai: Following several complaints about liquor being sold at higher prices in TASMAC outlets, a circular has been sent to all shops stating that proper bill should be given for every sale.
In the circular it was mentioned that details such as the shop number, date, name of the liquor, quantity and price should be mentioned.
“The supervisor should have signed the bill. If liquor is bought by swiping card in machine, the details should be entered on the back side of the receipt generated. A separate notebook should be maintained for the sales,” the circular added.
It further stated that action will be initiated against those who do not follow these procedures.
