Chennai: R Divakar (4/27) scalped four as Fine Star CA beat Classic CC by 43 runs in the quarter-finals of the Thiruvallur DCA Gopu Memorial T20 knockout tournament. Fine Star made 154 for nine in its stipulated overs.

In the second innings, it bowled out Classic for 111 in 16 overs, thanks to Divakar’s four-wicket haul. In another last eight match, R Rajagiri (4/34) took four wickets to help Parthasarathy MCC get the better of Mugappair CC by 40 runs.

Standard CC 165 for 8 in 20 overs (K Vijayan 35, R Vijaya Kumar 33) beat IEC RC 92 in 19.1 overs (M Santhosh Pandian 3/22)

Seshadhri MCC 158 for 9 in 20 overs (M Dinesh Veda Guru 44, K Vignesh 39) lost to MAS CC 161 for 4 in 19.1 overs (S Parvesh Gautam 61, R Nilesh Subramanian 45)
