The marathon will be conducted in three sections – 10 km, 5 km and 2 km. Karka Kasadara Foundation founder Bala Aananth, said, “Dreamathon 2019 is an event to create opportunity and feel happy about giving back to society. There are many ways in our society to contribute. Some choose to donate money, some raise money by reaching out to their inner circle, some volunteer their time and skills. The Dreamathon will help create a good platform for starters, professional runners and others to not only run and stay fit, but also share their contributions to society and the needy.”
He added that the trust is run by a group of young, energetic and service-oriented members. “The team is advised and guided by a team of senior people from similar backgrounds who served society and the nation in many instances in a very humble manner,” he said.
Bala said the objective of Karka Kasadara Foundation was to provide educational support and structure for socially deprived, destitute and deserving students from government-run schools.
“We support children to choose their career path. Karka Kasadara Foundation will play the role of a mentor to each of these students and we will extend our support to every student enrolled with us in their education, health, skill and personality development as well,” he said.
