Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced a cash bonanza of Rs 10 lakh each to 2,000 families in his native village of Chintamadaka in Siddipet district and health profiling of its citizens on Monday.
Rao, who visited the village, interacted with the residents, took the blessings of his teacher and also offered prayers at a temple.
“You may need any hundreds of houses; you can demolish and construct (new houses) or build new ones by removing old houses. I am sanctioning you 1,500 to 2,000 houses. Every family in the village would get Rs 10 lakh,” said Roa. He further said that he had sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the purpose.
The festival of entering new houses should be organised by the month of Karthika (during winter), he said while addressing a public meeting in the hamlet in Siddipet district.
He also announced conducting a health profile of the village which would be the beginning for preparing such an exercise for the entire state. “I request the MLA and Collector to get Chintamadaka health profile prepared. I have an idea of preparing the health profile for the entire Telangana,” he said.
Data of blood test reports of all citizens should be available at the click of a mouse to provide advanced medical care as in the case of countries like the U.S.A., Rao added. The Chief Minister said the villagers could make use of the amount in whichever way they desired like setting up poultry farms, dairy farms or purchase of tractors.
