Coimbatore: NIA has been conducting raids in three places belonging to five people in connection to the terrorists infiltration in the city.

Sources said the raid has been happening from 5 am and 20 NIA officials are involved in it.  It is said laptops, mobile phones, sim cards and pen-drives were seized during the raids.

It may be noted that security was beefed up in the city after the Central Intelligence Bureau alerted the State police about the infiltration of six terrorists.

They are believed to have links with the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka and it is surmised that they must have come through the sea route into Tamilnadu.
