Chennai: S Noor Mohamed (5/34) scalped five as Jai Hind Cricket Club edged Presidency College Athletic Association by a solitary wicket in TNCA Sixth Division ‘A’ match here.
Batting first, Presidency College was bowled out for 158 in 29.5 overs courtesy Noor’s five-wicket haul. He conceded only 34 runs during his match-winning spell. Jai Hind somehow scampered to its target, reaching it in 29.1 overs after losing nine wickets. In a Sixth Division ‘B’ duel, P Purushoth Kumar (5/22) delivered a five-wicket spell to guide Amar Cricket Club to an 82-run win over Saidapet Gymkhana.
