Chennai: Mahindra World City conducted its seventh edition of MWC Marathon, here, recently. The marathon was conducted to raise awareness about the need for girl child education.
According to a release, the event had different races like 21 km marathon, 10km, 5 km and 3km and more than a thousand people between the age group of 18 and 44 participated in the event.
In the men’s category, S Nikhil won the first place while Jagadeesh and R Manikandan bagged the second and third place. Jyothi and Poongodi emerged as the winners in the women’s category. The winners were awarded certificates, added the release.
