Chennai: Tamilnadu Health Minister M Subramanian has denied that fake entries had been made in State’s Covid-19 vaccination data.
Stating that the Stateās vaccination coverage stood close to 7.5 crore, he said it was common for one or two technical errors to creep in.
‘In Kancheepuram, we came across two to three such issues, and we found that they were due to technical errors made by the temporary staff. We have asked for an inquiry into these incidents,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Tamilnadu government has sought help from religious leaders to increase vaccinations in districts recording poor first dose coverage. The State plans to hold a public awareness meeting along with religious leaders and other prominent personalities in districts such as Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupathur and Mayiladuthurai, Subramanian said.
