Karthi’s Sardar will be hitting the screens on Deepavali.

The news was announced by the makers along with the second look poster of the actor as a cop controlling a riot.

The film, which was last in the news for casting Laila, stars Raashi Khanna as the female lead. Sardar will feature Karthi in two roles – a father and his son.

The rest of the film’s cast includes Rajisha Vijayan, Yugi Sethu, Murali Sharma and Munishkanth.

Produced by Prince Pictures, the film will have music by GV Prakash.

Mithran’s frequent collaborator George C Williams is in charge of Sardar’s cinematography.

Meanwhile, Karthi’s other films Viruman and PS-1 (Ponniyin Selvan Part-1) will hit the screens on August 31 and September 30, respectively.
