Sunday evening saw brief spell of rain bringing cheer to Chennaiites. The soaring temperature for the past few days left many high and dry. The sudden downpour broigh cool waves.
Several areas including T Nagar, Vadapalani, Ashok Nagar, Alandur, Nungambakkam, Pallavaram, T Nagar, Tambaram, Parry’s saw sudden showers.
Power-cut was reported at few places and waterlogging too was witnessed at some low-lying areas.
Says Kannan, a resident of Nanganallur, ‘We are happy to witness sudden rain. Our Sunday ended on a cool note. With raising temperature for last few daya,the sudden showers made things comfortable for us’.
