BJP hits out at ruling DMK govt for naming projects after M Karunanidhi

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai slammed the ruling DMK government for attempting to name government projects and public properties after DMK leaders. The BJP leader in a statement highlighted that he came to know about that in the Namakkal City Council meeting, resolutions have been passed to name the new bus stand being constructed in the Mudalaipatti area after the late DMK leader Karunanidhi and to name the junction of the Outer Circle Road and Ananthusalai as Anna Memorial Arch and Anbazhagan Memorial Arch. “It is ridiculous to ignore all the names of freedom fighters and leaders and hold an emergency meeting to pass a resolution to put names of DMK leaders. If they want they put DMK leader’s names on the institutions run by DMK ministers. The practice of naming every public place built with tax money by DMK leaders should not continue, Annamalai said.
