DMK parliamentary party leader T.R. Baalu has accused the Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi, of “speaking unabashed lies while sitting unashamedly in the post created by the colonial rulers.”
R.N. Ravi, a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, was appointed as the Governor of Nagaland in August 2019. Since taking office, Ravi has been at the center of various controversies, with his recent actions drawing the ire of the DMK and its leader, T.R. Baalu.
The DMK, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has been at odds with the central government on various issues, including federalism, state autonomy, and distribution of powers. These tensions have been exacerbated by issues such as the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions.
