Chennai, Jan 29:Ā AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) has launched a scathing attack on the DMK, alleging that the ruling party is operating a dictatorial government in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at a party event in Salem on Friday, EPS claimed that there are different ‘power centres’ within the DMK, leading to a fragmented approach to governance and hindering the progress of developmental schemes. The AIADMK leader went on to make a striking assertion, stating, “There are four chief ministers in TN now. That’s why governance is stuck, and no developmental schemes are progressing.” This remark reflects the internal dynamics and perceived challenges within the DMK’s administration, according to EPS.
Highlighting concerns over the law and order situation in the state, EPS accused the DMK of failing to maintain order, leading to a deterioration of the situation. He pointed to a rise in brutal murders, daring robberies, and the widespread sale of ganja, which he claimed is negatively impacting the youth of Tamil Nadu. Holding the DMK responsible for these issues, EPS emphasised the need for accountability.
