In a significant move aimed at bolstering infrastructure and community welfare, Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated a series of projects in Chennai, totaling an impressive sum of Rs 10.13 crores. The event, held at Mayor Chittibabu Park in Kolathur, showcased the commitment of the Greater Chennai Corporation towards enhancing the city’s livability and prosperity.
At the ceremony, Chief Minister Stalin not only inaugurated 15 ongoing projects but also laid the foundation stone for 11 new ventures, signaling a proactive approach towards future development endeavors. The projects span various sectors, including infrastructure, education, and social welfare, with an estimated total cost of Rs 28.50 crores.
Among the highlights of the event was the distribution of sewing machines to 355 students of the Anitha Achiever’s Academy, underscoring the government’s dedication to empowering youth through vocational training and skill development initiatives.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated two major projects, valued at Rs 26.86 crores, in collaboration with key agencies such as the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, as well as the Public Works Department, CMDA, and Highways Department. These projects are poised to significantly enhance essential services and infrastructure across the city.
In addition to inaugurating ongoing endeavors, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for seven new projects, with a combined investment of Rs 176.90 crores. These projects are set to address critical needs and cater to the evolving requirements of Chennai’s growing population.
Amidst the flurry of infrastructure projects, Chief Minister Stalin also prioritized social welfare initiatives, inaugurating the Integrated Child Development Center at GKM Colony.
