The Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a directive mandating Government and Government-aided Schools to organize and conduct NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) coaching for their 12th Standard (+2) students aspiring to pursue MBBS and BDS courses.
This initiative aims to provide essential support and guidance to students preparing for the highly competitive NEET examination, which serves as a gateway to medical and dental colleges across the country.
Key details of the order include arrangements to ensure that students attending NEET coaching classes are provided with breakfast, lunch, and evening tea, ensuring their physical well-being during the coaching sessions.
Additionally, the order stipulates that students participating in NEET coaching at Government and Government-aided Schools will receive reimbursement for bus fare expenses incurred while attending these special coaching classes. It is mandatory for students who have previously applied and attended coaching sessions conducted by their schools to apply for these NEET special coaching classes. Confirmation of attendance by the respective teachers is also required to ensure compliance with the directive.
This proactive measure by the Tamil Nadu Government underscores its commitment to supporting and empowering students from all backgrounds to excel in competitive examinations and pursue higher education opportunities in the field of medicine and dentistry.
By providing access to quality coaching and logistical support, the government aims to level the playing field for students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, and enhance their chances of success in the NEET examination.
