Amidst the electoral fervor gripping Tamil Nadu, BJP National President JP Nadda has underscored the party’s commitment to the state’s development, vowing to significantly increase fund allocations and spearhead infrastructure projects aimed at propelling Tamil Nadu into a new era of growth and progress.Speaking during a roadshow in Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha constituency, where O Panneerselvam is contesting as an independent candidate on behalf of the BJP, Nadda highlighted the BJP-led NDA’s concerted efforts to transform the state’s infrastructure landscape. He cited a four-fold increase in fund allocation, resulting in extensive road infrastructure development covering 12,000 crore kilometers at a cost of Rs 48,000 crore. Additionally, Nadda lauded the provision of housing facilities and digital services under the NDA’s governance.
Extolling the virtues of Panneerselvam as a capable and dedicated leader, Nadda urged voters to rally behind the jackfruit symbol, emphasizing the importance of electing representatives who would effectively voice the aspirations of the people of Tamil Nadu in Parliament. He characterized the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as a pivotal moment in India’s trajectory, calling for resounding victories in over 400 constituencies to propel the nation towards sustained growth and prosperity by 2047.
In a scathing rebuke of the DMK, Nadda condemned the party’s embrace of ‘Dynasty politics,’ ‘Money swindling,’ and ‘Katta panchayat’ (rowdyism). He accused DMK politicians of amassing disproportionate wealth, pointing to thirteen individuals within the party whose assets have allegedly grown over one lakh crore. Nadda warned that the electoral verdict on April 19 and the subsequent formation of the government on June 4 would hold such politicians accountable, either through imprisonment or bail.
