The makers of the much-awaited horror-thriller Demonte Colony 2 have recently dropped the release trailer, creating a buzz among fans. This film, directed and written by Ajay R Gnanamuthu, continues the chilling narrative from the 2015 original, which he also helmed.The 2.26-minute trailer opens with a dramatic recap of the climax from the first installment, where Arulnithi’s friends meet their grim fate. The scene sets the stage for the new film, revealing a cursed chain from the Demonte house around the neck of one of the deceased. A voiceover ominously hints that the chain will find its way back to the house, escalating the horror.
In Demonte Colony 2, Arulnithi appears to be playing dual roles, with one of his characters trapped in the afterlife. Priya Bhavani Shankar joins the cast as a character with the unique ability to see and communicate with spirits, alongside a monk. Their journey involves unraveling the mystery of the malevolent force seeking vengeance.
The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana Ravichandran. With music composed by Sam CS and cinematography by Harish Kannan, Demonte Colony 2 promises to deliver both a haunting soundtrack and gripping visuals.
Produced by Bobby Balachandran in collaboration with Vijay Subramanian’s White Nights Entertainment and RC Rajkumar’s Gnanamuthu Pattarai, the film is set to hit theatres on August 15. It will face competition at the box office from other high-profile releases such as Vikram’s Thangalaan, Keerthy Suresh’s Raghu Thatha, and Prashanth’s Andhagan.
