Seeman, Coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK), has slammed the ruling DMK party for its double standards, questioning the party’s celebration of former minister Senthil Balaji, who was recently released on conditional bail. Speaking at a press meet, Seeman criticized the DMK for contradicting its own stance on corruption. He stated, “Is receiving commissions, taking bribes, collecting money for jobs, and committing fraud all part of sacrifice? Senthil Balaji was jailed in a case pursued by the DMK during the AIADMK’s rule. What sacrifice did he make to go to jail? You are the ones who sent him to prison, and now you are welcoming him with open arms.”
Seeman continued, “If someone is in your party, it’s considered a sacrifice; if they’re in another party, it’s corruption. How should we classify those who went to jail after making sacrifices for the country? Is Senthil Balaji a martyr? The claim that animal fat was mixed into temple prasadam (laddus) is baseless.”
Seeman also criticized the recent controversies surrounding temple rituals, remarking, “It’s laughable! Taking action against individuals is being neglected, while focusing on cleaning temples is not the right approach. How can it be acceptable to say that the sanctity of temples is lost due to prasadam? What exactly is Sanatan Dharma? How can it be said that Sanatan is found in laddus? This is why we laugh.”
Seeman expressed disappointment over actor Karthi’s apology related to his upcoming film. “I’m saddened that actor Karthi had to apologize, but with his film set to release, he had no choice,” he added.
