12 years after the Nirbhaya case in Delhi, a similar incident in Tamil Nadu highlights the failure of law and order under Chief Minister Stalin. The DMK government has pushed women’s safety to the brink, even in educational institutions and workplaces. The culprits must be arrested immediately and given severe punishment. The safety of women across Tamil Nadu must be prioritized.”

Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai:
“Law and order in Tamil Nadu have completely collapsed. Every day, the state witnesses murders, increasing drug abuse, and a lack of safety for public officials, women, children, and the general public. If the perpetrators are linked to the DMK, actions are often delayed.

The fact that such an incident occurred in a prestigious educational institution like Anna University shows that anti-social elements have no fear of the government or the police. The Chief Minister must take responsibility and provide a clear explanation to the public.”

PMK Founder Dr. Ramadoss:
“It is appalling that such an atrocity has occurred in a globally recognized institution like Anna University. This incident is a grim example of how law and order have deteriorated under DMK governance. Under this regime, no one is safe. The DMK government will face the consequences of its negligence from the people.”

CPI (M) State Secretary K. Balakrishnan:
“This incident is deeply condemnable and has created panic and fear among students at Anna University. The increase in sexual violence against women, especially in educational institutions, is alarming. The government must ensure a safe environment for students in all educational institutions and hostels.”

DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth:
“If women are unsafe in Anna University, it clearly shows that anti-social elements have no fear of the government or law enforcement. Strict action must be taken against everyone involved in this crime. The Tamil Nadu government and the police must ensure justice for the victim.”
The leaders unanimously demanded immediate action against the perpetrators and measures to ensure the safety of women in educational institutions across Tamil Nadu. The incident has raised serious concerns about law and order in the state, and the public awaits a firm response from the government.
