Actor Lijomol Jose is set to play the lead role in debutant director Joshua Sethuraman’s upcoming Tamil film Gentlewoman. The project was officially announced on Saturday, with directors Karthik Subbaraj and Raju Murugan unveiling the first-look poster.The makers of Gentlewoman have promised a film that redefines strength and grace, emphasizing that gentleness is not confined to one gender. Alongside Lijomol, the film features Losliya Mariyanesan and Hari Krishnan in pivotal roles.
The technical crew for Gentlewoman includes music director Govind Vasantha, cinematographer SA Kathavarayan, editor Elayaraja Sekar, stunt director Sudesh, and choreographer Azar. Yugabharathi has contributed to the film by penning the lyrics and dialogues.
Lijomol, who has carved a niche for herself with her nuanced performances, had three Malayalam releases last year—Nadanna Sambhavam, I Am Kathalan, and Her. Her last appearance in Tamil cinema was in the critically acclaimed Jai Bhim (2021), where she starred alongside Suriya and Manikandan.
Apart from Gentlewoman, Lijomol has a packed slate with upcoming projects, including Ponman and Daveed in Malayalam and Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai in Tamil.
With Gentlewoman, Lijomol is set to deliver yet another memorable performance, further establishing her versatility as an actor.
