DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has issued a stern warning against the inclusion of fake members during the party’s ongoing membership drive.

The Chief Minister’s directive came during a crucial virtual meeting held with 76 DMK district and city secretaries.

Addressing the party functionaries from his Alwarpet residence, Stalin emphasized the significance of the “Ooraniyil Tamil Nadu” campaign. This initiative aims to foster unity among the people of Tamil Nadu, highlight the achievements of the Dravidian model government, and enroll new members into the party. He expressed satisfaction with the positive reception the campaign has received, noting the enthusiastic participation of party members in door-to-door outreach.
Stalin underscored the ambitious target of adding 2.5 crore members across 68,000 polling booths within the next 30 days. However, he stressed that alongside this quantitative goal, equal importance must be given to qualitative engagement. Party members are instructed to dedicate at least 10 minutes to each household, explaining the injustices perpetrated and planned by the BJP-led central government and its allies, including the AIADMK, against Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the valuable contribution of the “Booth Digital Agents” created by the party, identifying them as a significant asset to be effectively utilized for the upcoming legislative elections and beyond.

In a strong cautionary note, Stalin declared that strict action would be taken against individuals found responsible for adding fake members during the drive. He revealed that a thorough review of all membership details submitted so far is underway.

Furthermore, he warned that if the prescribed party procedures are not meticulously followed in any polling booths, the entire membership drive in those specific areas would be restarted from scratch.
