Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M. K. Stalin’s ambitious healthcare initiative is set to be launched on the 2nd of August, 2025. This major health drive was officially announced by the state Health Minister Mr. M. Subramanian.
As part of the initiative, a total of 1,556 health camps will be conducted across the state. In Chennai alone, 15 locations have been selected to host these camps. These camps aim to provide comprehensive physical health check-ups to the public.
According to the Government Order (GO), 1,154 camps will be held in 388 blocks, with three camps planned in each block. The camps will offer a range of basic and specialised medical tests.
Tests included in the physical health check-up are blood sugar, blood pressure, X-ray, ECG, echocardiogram (ECHO), and screenings for diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), cancer, and leprosy. Additionally, 15 types of specialised medical consultations will be made available to the public.
This initiative is expected to boost early diagnosis and treatment, ensuring better access to healthcare services for people across Tamil Nadu.
