Dr. S. Ramadoss, founder of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), has filed a petition in the Chennai High Court challenging a general committee meeting convened by his son and party president, Anbumani Ramadoss. The petition, filed by Murali Shankar, a state general secretary appointed by Ramadoss, seeks to block the meeting scheduled for August 9th in Mamallapuram. The lawsuit argues that Anbumani has been acting as a leader without proper authority, leading to a power struggle within the party.
This move follows increasing tensions between the father and son, who have been reportedly at odds over party leadership. The dispute has led to separate actions by both, including the appointment and removal of party members.
